This again is another case of misinterpretation of the Words of Bible by its literal meaning ,

'Rod' in holy books refers to the commandments of God (teaching,guidance,enlightment­,...)

not an instrument for turture/punishment .

How can our ignorance be set as an standard to justify any Truth of any religion?

And if we misunderstand and chose to reject religion,do we have a better substitude alternative???
