@Pty1980 No worries. My friend is mixed too (white/Asian) and white people think she's Asian and Asian people think she's white. I think mixed people are beautiful -- both physically and symbolically.
This is the internet and the anonymity tends to make people much harsher to each other than they would normally be if they were face-to-face...you know, like road rage or some such.

@LuminousFaery oh im so sorry i just got mad because i have dealt with racism all my life because im black and white so someone saying im racist is harsh.(thats one of many things im not!).well next i see a "Asian"Person i will make sure to call them that.

@Pty1980 What do you mean "nicer?" I don't think blarghblarblargh was being mean. Even said "please" when asking. Twice!
As a non-Chinese person having been called "Chinese" all my life, it does hurt. "Oriental" describes things. "Asian" describes people. If you don't know the country, I would prefer "Asian" though I don't have anything against Chinese people; it just hurts so many different ways. It still stings to this day. Sorry to intrude on this discussion.
