Its Interesting when one watches The Mahabharata Epic that there is no reference to a Hindu or Hinduism or Hindustan. I believe these are much later terms emerged much later used as an umbrella to define those believing in the Vedic traditions and principals against the emerging religions such as Buddhism and later Islam.

@lordr6747 it seems because the story has been cut short to show important events like marriage & birth of child showing next generation... but if you listen to the speech & behavior properly women are shown atmost respect at every stage & mahabhart has shown the most powerful woman's of it's era.
