  • Jealous of Britain by any chance? Jealous that the international language of commerce is English and not Spanish? Jealous that we came out on top? Yes you are.

  • lol Xgocadiz your arrogance is amusing. Lets avoid mentioning Gibraltar and the times England assisted Portugal remaining independent from Spanish control.

Lets also forget about Spains actions in WW2, when not only did Spain avoid fighting against the evil nazi regime, they supplied it with resources.

If you're willing to thank Britain for its role in the liberation of western europe and defeating the Axis powers, perhaps we may be grateful to you :)

  • @nvieira100 I think that a 6:5 ratio qualifies as heavily outnumbered, yes - it is certainly a significantly large advantage so as to render weight of numbers a very significant factor in the battle. However, 'heavily outnumbered' is a relative term and is subject to personal opinion. If you disagree then that is your perogative.

  • Trumpeter needs lessons ... badly.

  • @Historyisthekey Franco/Spanish fleet = 33 ships; british fleet = 27 ... "Heavily" outnumbered?

  • @TheBritishWatcher And let's not forget Britain did all this for self preservation. Let's not kid ourselves. If Spain and Portugal had sided with Napolean, there would be no Britain. So you'd do well to thank these nations as much as you wish they would thank you.

  • @TheBritishWatcher lets forget british support to franco so he could win the war and after that aid the nazis. We thank you for 40 years of dictatorship. We also thanks you for retaining a colony in our territory. We should just crush gibraltar and send all population back to london.

  • Good to see that such a pivotal moment in British history is being commemorated well. It is often understated how essential Nelson was to the victory. They were heavily out numbered by theFraco-Spanish fleet but still triumphed.

  • I do agree with you.

I thought much of the prade looked very smart.

    The band are terrible.

Tune the bass drums, you should not be playing with 2 if you don't know how to tune and damp 1 let alone 2. The snare drummers are just buzzing notes. There are no clear single stick rolls or evidenence of doubles let alone p.d's. This not the kids fault!!!!!!

  • One of England's greatest victories, and all we get is a tiny parade like this...

We should have a massive parade in Portsmouth, something like the Russian victory parade commerorating this event. But no, we get this, very sloppy Cadets marching followed by a police van.

  • the eu is doomed to failure, greece italy ect all feeling the strains germany taking on a huge burdon and britian being taken for a ride it is dooooomed

  • write you to me?
