New Hubble Maps of Pluto Show Surface Changes

'Since its discovery in 1930, Pluto has been a speck of light in the largest ground-based telescopes. But NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has now mapped the dwarf planet in never-before-seen detail. The new map is so good, astronomers have even been able to detect changes on the dwarf planet's surface by comparing Hubble images taken in 1994 with the newer images taken in 2002-2003. The task is as challenging as trying to see the markings on a soccer ball 40 miles away.'

Like the "scientist" who's job it was to produce "studies" for phillip morris that didn't show that smoking was harmful to your health, who is now working the fight against global warming.

And you don't disprove the link between co2 and warming on earth just by saying that there are changes on other planets. Of course there are changes on other planets. We are just starting to study them in depth, and don't have much data. But we do have alot of data that is strong evidence for global warming on earth being caused by co2, and you have done nothing to discredit that specifically.

I already explained the warming on pluto. There's always sand storms on mars, and having no previous temperature data from mars, we have no precident to tell weather or not the fluctuation is abnormal. I'm aware of the hexagon on saturn's pole, but what does that have to do with anything? Jupiter has been warming ever since it got hit by the comet- friction will do that. Venus is interesting. It has the youngest planetary surface of any in the solar system, and nobody is sure why.

All Planets are going through some kind of changes. As for Blogs, no way would I read someone's diarrhea about anything. I'm a registered Independent but tend to think more conservative lately. Thanks to the liars, Obama, we just elected. I have been finding out lately about Progressive Liberals that really turned me off with their ideology.

Liberals have very closed minds with tunnel vision.

Pluto/Mars are NOT WELL understood. Pluto was found 80 years ago on accident. Last summer Mars had a planetary sand storm that heated the entire planet by many degrees, NASA can't explain. Huge honey comb matrix on Saturn's pole, NASA can't explain. Uranus, Neptune poles moved/flipped. Venus and Jupiter are warming rapidly. Last summer NASA sent a satellite to Pluto to do studies, the fastest ever built. It will reach Jupiter in less than 13 months. This spring a satellite is going to Mercury.

My guess is you're a conservative who accuses anyone you disagree with on anything of being a liberal. I'm more like a moderate who follows the science- Not the urban myths that you find on conservative blogs.
