Brennan Howard was emotionally arrested in some pre-teen limbo for which fans of John Waters may be eternally grateful. Yes, there's bad taste, and plenty of it, but unlike Waters there is no tightly defined amalgam or even necessarily a plot in which the viewer is constipated. Brennan lives with a genetically altered spice rack that never ages and tubercular giant bugs who wear the mask of Dr. Death. He's quite entertaining!
