More at http://www.theuptake.org One of the undisputed stars of the Minnesota Republican Party was, and will remain to be, Michele Bachmann. Her penchant for outrageous comments coupled with a hard-right bent has earned her intense scrutiny from the media and strong support from Republican activists.

With the results of her race against DFL and Independent endorsed candidate Elwyn Tinklenberg still in doubt Bachmann entered the ballroom floor relatively early in the evening to talk with a select few members of the media.

Bachmann stopped to talk with former Minnesota Sen. Rudy Boschwitz and conservative talk show host Jason Lewis.

Lewis appeared to suggest that if Bachmann had tied her controversial comments about Barack Obama and some of her congressional coleagues holding "anti-American" views to the KKK and individuals such as the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) and Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney then more of the public would have understood.

Sometime after midnight, Tinklenberg conceded and Bachmann delivered her acceptance speech to roaring approval. Minnesota GOP Chair Ron Carey was particularly fired up for the occasion. Many late polls had Bachmann trailing Tinklenberg.

  • Bachmann is as big a joke to all Americans as Sarah Palin. What has this country become?

  • We mopped the floor with the Repugnant Party and that vile excuse for a congresswoman and her backward, ignorant district can sit back and observe true leadership.

    OBAMA!!

  • Who would elect someone with eyes like that. They must be asleep in her state.

  • @mewaggoner FYI, The Great Depression happened during Hoover’s presidency because the republicans allowed the banking industry to become greedy with their do nothingness approach to industry. The same dumb approach peddled today by them. The drought in the farmlands was a man made event, caused by over farming. This is why we need smart people in Government and not dummies like Bachmann and Palin.

  • @mewaggoner I am sorry about your lack of comprehension. I was quoting YOU, which is probably why you are having a problem understanding, LOL.

My point, as I stated in my last comment to you, was that the republicans tend to screw up the economy and then leave it to the Democrats to prove fiscally responsible by balancing the budget and providing for the people; e.g. FDR, Clinton. "Hoover ELECTED in 1929!!" FYI the Depression was in 1931.

  • @ivedigga This sounds like the exact same ingredients used to make that free and tasty government cheese except for the common sense part.

    Here's one!

    Typical Democrat Gumbo

(measurements not needed, just take advantage of any)

Race Card (use even if not warranted)

    Racism (even on your own)

Ignorance with a touch words containing 5 syllables or more (not ending in isha)

Raping, Stealing, Dealing and other forms of lawlessness

Looks like cheese but it's really shit

  • @springjo1 There is hope! MAYBE they will have the entire race done without teleprompters and Obama will fall like a rock.

  • @nolaeast what point are you trying to make by saying “In 1913 Wilson signed the Federal Reserve act”?

Are you just in agreement with me? Hoover and the GREAT DEPRESSION? Hoover ELECTED in 1929!! READ, LEARN!! Calvin Coolidge was Pres. before (R) lawyer from Vermont. What is nice about being (Ind) is that you can see both sides insted of wearing Party blinders. The Great Depression was caused by Big Bank greed, Increased Tax on Imports a partially by a huge drought in the farmlands.

  • @nolaeast in reply to your comments. It is history, try doing some reading & research.

Your comments, pathetically typical.. Attack the person not the facts. LOL

I couldn't help but notice that you completely ignored the dates, names and actual documents that are in fact signed into law. This simply means you can't hang with truth. If you had a opinion or statement that could be backed by any reality, I could actually entertain the words coming from your keyboard but..(0) Nice flag btw

  • @mewaggoner “You really should study history instead of repeating…”

This is your assumption. You really should stop assuming so much.

“In 1913 Wilson signed the Federal Reserve act…”

What you failed to mention is that both Wilson and FDR were cleaning up after two idiot republicans. Hoover sucked so badly, he put the country into what has become known as the GREAT DEPRESSION. The only great thing he accomplished.

  • @nolaeast you really should study history instead of repeating what you have seen on CNN or whatever "somebody" told you. WE were sold out much further back. In 1913 Wilson signed the Federal Reserve act in 1933 FDR took our money off the gold standard. Perpetual debt to a bogus institution that really serves no purpose.

I should also mention that both of these Pres. were democrats.
