Larry Holmes Gushes about his family

After seeing the "Out of Ali's Shadow, The Larry Holmes Story" for the first time I asked Larry what it was like to see all those fights. Could he even remember? All he could talk about was his wife and kid who were in the movie for only minutes. He was so touching. I shot this at a dark table with a little digital still camera's Avi file.

Does that mean that if he fights again he won't try and knock his opponent out because he didn't like the way it felt to be knocked out?

He knocked out people for a living, He seems a very gentle person outside the ring. Meeting him and seeing him in a crowd at a party he seeemed to care nothing about seeming threatening. He was as interested in us as we were in him. He was dirt poor and his skill at boxing got him up and out. I'm waiting for my ride to interview him at him home. When I get back and get the time I'll post some of it. Hopefully the quality will be considerably better. Thanks for posting.

I know the man personally, and I can tell you that he is one of the most down to earth guys i know. Even if you threw the money and fame out the window, he'd still be one of guys you want as a friend. Nice piece.

thats great, you will get to interview him again, ask him what he thought of his decision losses to oliver mccall and Brian Nielson and also his street fight with trevor berbick, I have no idea about how it all started, thanks for posting htis and good luck with the interview.
