However having been brought up with stories of the second world war and GI's in the streets of Southampton leading up to the days before D-Day I and everyone else in the UK are forever gratefull for those Americans and who gave their lives during the 2 world wars so the whole of Europe may be free

Thanks for the "grown up" comments fallschirmjager,, people in the UK know we are not the nation we once were, but you may want to check the history books regarding the 2 world wars and stop basing your opinions on Hollywoods take on the events.

the photos I took around Northumberland and my home in Southampton, I think they may be a couple of Dover too. I am surprised there has been so much debate about nationality, immigration etc, over something i cobbled together in 5 mins when I was bored a few years ago one night to show some lovely pictures I had taken of the countryside! Well, I love the song, but I think back then times were different, "Britons Awake" is in the lyrics too. It says British on my passport not English!

@ColonelRoss111 Some people hate and don't know why they're doing it, don't worry. I might be Scottish but my passport says British and I've never had a problem with that.

whislt reading the comments of some of the fellow brits, i think its a shame that even though we have been united under a common cause the hate of hundreds of years has been passed down the generations. cant we all just get along together? you cant blame the things medieval England did on the current english, its not our fault.

Britain is done for, the political class have ideas of there own and they dont give a shit about the country at all... unless someone out there can remind me of the last time a political party in the UK that increased liberty.....????

It's just about control now they own you and there kids will own your kids...ect..ect.....

Wake up everyone! While we may not be at our best just yet, one day England, Britain will rise again, the country lanes, the green fields, cups of tea, the local butcher shop.
