These movie clips are from the movie DON. There was a controvesry over smoking in the movie by Shahrukh Khan; who is a youth icon. The director claimed that he was trying to depict a weak man who is trying to quit tobacco and that he has presented smoking as something bad. Though the hero in one of the initial scenes says that he is trying to quit as tobacco kills but by the end of the movie (After he emerge as the winner), he is shown smoking. When his girl friend asks him what happened to his resolve to quit, he comments; "What all things should I quit, I have already quit too much."
Is it promoting quitting tobacco, or is promoting tobacco?

Wow, I seriously doubt anyone even thought twice about his 'promoting smoking'. It's not that big a deal. There have been worse promotions towards smoking than the five second scene in 'Don' lol.
