  • Skin color is meaningless. Everything about you is beautiful to me. We are all sisters and brothers of whoever or whatever created us. We are all the same species. We are all part of the Oneness, and many people are waking up to that. The ones who aren't or haven't yet? - don't let them get you down, Candace. (I agree it is disgusting and stupid -- that's a no-brainer.) Love is the Power, girl. :) Stay in the Power. I send you blessings. Love is the only way forward for humanity.

  • @m3na9 Thanks so much. Beautiful words spoken by a beautiful soul. Blessings to you and yours.

  • Good words even to a redneck like myself,I've been reading deLint for decades now, the Mystery of Grace is a Good one, you'll like The Onion Girl too, one of his best ever

  • Unfortunately, you'll find racists in both Democratic and Republican parties. It is way too deep-seated in the US. I was really hoping with Obama's election, people might finally grow up, but it seems to have gotten worse.

  • Charles de Lint is a first rate author.

  • You are thoughtful, well-spoken, and certainly worth listening to. I wasn't aware of the "ho" reference to Mahlia Obama, and am horrified, but all too aware (as an old lady) that there is a lot of ignorance, hatred, and bigotry out there. I like that you say there is less, now - and that is my opinion, as well. I don't go looking for it, but counter it when it is in my face. I love everything Charles de Lint writes. I especially like all the different cultural perspectives. Best of luck to you!

  • Charles de Lint's books are all enchanting, as well as making you think about what matters in life.

  • Prove me wrong...

  • Where would you find Marxist professors? Professors that actively teach that communism is an inevitable outcome? That was an ignorant, generalizing comment about academics.

  • it might be racial profiling, but the sad part is it's probably accurate.
