Lungren on Fox Business: Repeal the expanded 1099 mandate

H.R. 4- The Small Business Paperwork Mandate Elimination Act - passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 314- 112 (76 Democrats supporting) on 3-3-11.

Congressman Dan Lungren (R-Gold River-CA) introduces this bill in April of 2010 when not many people were talking about this harmful mandate in the Democrats' Health Care bill.

The 1099 tax requirement found in Section 9006 of the health care bill places an unprecedented burden on small business by requiring business owners who purchase more than $600 in goods or services in a year to submit a 1099 tax form to the Internal Revenue Service.
