it depends on the rate your hair personally grows, and what kind of damage your hair goes through day to day. My own hair is super thick, but grows relatively fast for its thickness. It took my hair three years for my hair to get to the point it is now, and it started as nothing. ( I had my head shaved) With trimming and minimum straightening and letting it grow the past 3 years It is midway down my back.

i have hair that lays on my shoulders and i straighten it everyday.. how long would it take to grow it to like my mid stomach or hips ?

@Kaylaa61910 I would say a year and a half to get it to your mid stomach maybe less if you make sure to always put on heat protectant and use deep conditioner. Also it just depends on how much your hair grows.

I like this video a lot! It helped in a way, my hair is really dead at the ends and I use my straightner like legit every other day, but I want to grow it out!! Like mid way of my back, and right now it's like 2 inches under my shoulder. Advice?

@dmfreaks911 I would make sure to use a heat protectant every time you straight your hair and use a deep conditioner once a week, that should help it grow. Plus you should probably just cut the ends because it will just keep breaking.
