  • Good lord, please de-interlace the video before posting. Thanks.

It looks good on DVD, my set arrived only the other day.

  • Sorry, but it was either this or no video at the time. I'm working on fixing it...

  • The BBC are the greatest in the world at making the period drama, nobody does it better. The atmosphere, settings costumes etc.

The actors are all very good at what they do, but what makes it for me is when you watch this series its like your very own time machine back to the 1800s to make you part of the experience.

Brilliant series, seen every one made, cant wait for the next series.

  • Thank you so much, we never get gems like this in the States

  • Is Claudie Blakley speaking in a Australian accent?

OMG Brendan Coyle is so hot

  • Gosh, this is a thousand times better on my crummy phone than my imac

  • Echoes of this feudal life style still exist in Britain today. Still some reverence for organised religion, the monarchy, patriotism, those in authority... All part of brainwashing, and the “Britain is best” propaganda seen most clearly in elderly Daily Telegraph readers. You can see why football is such a large part of Britain’s cultural life. Either a substitute for patriotism or more likely the junior division.

  • Love larkrise to candleford my favourite programme, why oh why did it have to finish so not fair.

  • I can't remember how it came to be that I watched this show, but I loved it and my mother started watching it with me :)

  • I just finished watching all (45?) Lark Rise to Candleford episodes.

Very very good was my overall comment.

Re-accuracy tho, I think I saw rainy days in 3 or 4 episodes.

Let's say that one episode= 1 day, this means that it rains on average in Southern England 3 or 4 days in 45?

On the contrary it is sunny maybe 3 or 4 in 45.

This inaccuracy was a constant distraction to me.

The writers vaccilated too on taking any kind of moral high stand, creation/evolution and this too irked.

  • ahhhh!!!!!!!!!!just watched season four episode 6 without any clue it was the last episode!!!and when i found out i was so shocked and felt so sad!! why why why..=( they could have atleast made 12 episodes for the fourth season instead of just six....

  • Best programme on TV, I shall miss it.

  • @vvroses52--Sadly you are soooooooo correct! Nobody does it like the Brits! God Bless them!!!!

    An envious US Fan :o(
