@wafflegal101 That was exactly what I was about to comment saying. If you pick up new born's, your scent is on them, a scent that the mother knows isn't her babies scent, a different scene, and because of the scent on her babies, she eats them. I don't know how long you are supposed to leave it until you can touch them, but never touch them when they are just born

Ok ppl it's a hedgehog not a damn turtle it's not stuck when put on its back it can roll over, so in that respect he isn't a retard, although touching them when they are 1 day old is kinda stupid
