BOB DOWNE - Live From the Lilydrome PART 1 (1995)

BOB DOWNE (the comic creation of Mark Trevorrow) lived and worked in the UK for most of the 1990s and his favourite collaborator was the divine LILY SAVAGE (Paul O'Grady's now retired alter ego). Here's PART ONE of Lily's hilarious late night show, LIVE FROM THE LILYDROME, made in Blackpool in 1995. Bob appears in Parts 2 & 3, and guesting here is the great IAN McKELLEN as a parish priest, while mother-of-the-bride Lily is tired and emotional and performs just about the funniest 'drunken' standup you'll ever see.

LOL I love Ian McKellen! He was so funny in Extras - "you do realise I'm not really a wizard, don't you?" Didn't Bob once kiss him at the Mardi Gras? LOL

I'm also fast becoming a Lily fan, the fabulous bitter, twisted old hag she is! ;)She does a great drunk impersonation! LOL It's so funny to see the clips of her and Bob together coz they're polar opposites! :P
