Didn't you ever learn Roman Numerals in school? Look at the very beginning of this episode---> MCMXXIV is 1924, 1921 would be MCMXXI. Look up roman numerals on Wikipedia.

This is the second Felix cartoon I've seen in which poor Felix dies at the end. (He commits suicide in his first film, "Feline Follies.") That's two lives gone.
