I have no Idea who made this short animation piece. Though I tried very hard to find out, I do not read or speak Arabic, and I could not find a translation of the credits online. It does not surprise me, however, that this would be floating about the internet as such.
The Palestinian people are the primary victims of the most successful propaganda campaign ever perpetrated upon the American people. They are a people who live under conditions that can only be described as apartheid, and yet the government of the nation most associated with freedom and justice is the staunchest ally of the government which is their oppressor.
They were told that if they had democratic elections, things might begin to change for them, but when they did, they were told that their choice was not acceptable. Then they were told by their very oppressors who would govern them. Meanwhile, more and more of the land that wasn't stolen from them in the "Creation" of their oppressors' state continues to be annexed inch by inch, and Yard by yard against all international norms.
Those who support them are instantly branded antisemitic ...or worse still, as terrorist sympathizers. Others are ridiculed and ostracized for even suggesting that the creation of a new state in a preexisting state by a by and large nonnative people, based solely on the religious belief of the occupying force, and for the political expediency of the greater global powers of the day, might not be just; You are told you must acknowledge The oppressor state's right to exist (say uncle), or you are branded a lunatic and a threat to civilization.
As an agnostic, I could care less about the religious claims to this land. I don't even really dwell on the past injustice much. But as a Black Man living in this world, I recognize easily where my sympathies should lie; It is with the voiceless, and the powerless, and the choice-less, and they without the unrivaled PR machine, or a way out.
To the people of these United States I ask; What would you do if you were caged in an ever shrinking strip of land on your ancestral soil by a power whose only claim to it is that granted them by a God you don't recognize?
To The Israeli People; You are also victims in this, because the actions of your government are unjust, and as we have all heard time and again, "No Justice, No Peace!" If there would begin to be a real and meaningful striving for peace on the part of those within the equation that have any real power, I'm sure you would be surprised how much past injustice a victimized people would overlook, just for the sake of a better tomorrow.
The reality is, the preeminence of American power is waning, and this power has shielded your nation from any real consequences of those injustices administered by your representatives. You have suffered much in your history, but your claims to present day underdog status grows more ludicrous even to the most uninformed and indoctrinated persons.
Despite your disproportionate military and economic power, you are a small population on a very small piece of land who are quickly losing any credibility or sympathy you might have garnered.
The voices in the wilderness, Like this seemingly inconsequential animation, as small as they may be, are beginning to roar across this cyberspace. All the propaganda and rhetoric that can be mustered can not quell the simplicity of the message of this piece, because the truth of the situation it describes is beyond question.
You have moderate and honest voices among you, maybe it's time you gave them a crack at real political power. Maybe they will act with the knowledge that true and lasting peace and salvation for your people...can not come at cost of the freedom and dignity and self determination of another people.

@Aphorismic You're welcome. You're right about speaking out. Like synapsecracklepop's comment says, the truth of the situation is well hidden from the general public, but if more people are made aware, our government might be shamed into being more balanced in their approach to the so called "peace" Process. "What Happens to a Dream Deferred? Does it dry up like a raisin in the sun"...Or does it strap explosives to it's body and ignite them in a crowd?

A simple map of settlements and roads; the acquisition of water and aquafir, an explanation of checkpoints and travel proscriptions; a description of daily life under constant military activities; these are enough to convince any rational person.

That's why we never see it. No one in their right mind could support the occupation if they knew what it was.

@synapsecracklepop Thanks for your perspective. For all the suffering and criminal injustice in the world, this issue is the most vexing, because, unlike so many of the horrendous situations elsewhere, the truth is obfuscated not for lack of interest, but by mercilessly calculated design.
