Tragically, what Dr. King did not know (COULD not have known ) was that the future republican candidate, Richard Nixon would later come to undertake covert action(s) designed to intentionally & needlessly escalate the bombing (thus significantly prolonging the war) with an eye to winning his candidacy for the presidency.He was able to accomplish these acts via his informal envoy, Henry Kissinger. This is an innacuracy.
The only person on the balcony was Revd King himself - Revd Abernathy was in room 306 but not near him.
Jesse Jackson was in the car park below with Jim Bevel and 3 or 4 others so therefore could not possibly be a 'missed' target.
It is a misconception that Jesse Jackson and Hosea Williams were on the balcony with him when he was shot - This arises from a picture of them all together on the balcony which was actually taken on April 3rd.

That's not true.
The Supreme Court never said that.
