A Polish airlines LOT plane flying from Newark airport, New York, with 230 passengers on board has made an emergency landing in Warsaw after its landing gear failed to deploy.

The runway was covered with flame retardant foam to prevent the plane catching fire. As soon as it came to a standstill, firefighters hosed the airliner with water and foam as a precautionary measure.

All 230 passengers on board were safely evacuated soon after it landed.

  • I bet it took them like 20 hours to get the passengers off

  • Never seen a landing without landing gear, however great landing, pilots highly skilled.
