UPDATE: Kuki Linux 2.8 has just been released. Visit http://www.kuki.me for more info.

Last time I showed you the installation process for Kuki Linux. This time we will take a closer look at what you will get after the installation.

People still keep asking, if I could recommend this OS. The answer is definitely YES. If you have an Acer Aspire One and want a full featured Linux OS instead of Windows or some "Hey, I'm-a-mobile-phone"-GUI, this is the way to go, folks!

  • how does it compare with jolicloud? what are the boot up times? I've an aspire one so this could be good for me. I am also looking at chrome os

  • As of right now, the development of Kuki is on halt. You can get all the info about that from their website.

I myself decided to use Linux4One in the meantime. It is also specifically designed for the Aspire One and I am very satisfied with it (stable and fast).

  • Absolutely :) If you want a good OS for your Acer netbook try Ubuntu netbook remix 9.10. It works straight out of the box. It has a slick interface and comes installed with most of the software you would need plus easy installation of other applications. It's probably the best release yet. You have to realise though its only for use by us cunts. :P

  • Liked the last bit!

    - a fellow cunt. ;-)

  • i ahve an acrer note book - how do you find out which ine its is - do you reckion i sgould do this thing f?

  • I am not sure what you mean by "find out which ine its is". But Kuki is specifically for the Acer Aspire One netbook.

  • i think ill leave it linux doesnt support 3d s max -- damn shame really

  • I suggest you close the lid and look at it. If its an Acer Aspire One, it should say on the lid.... Acer Aspire One. Another way of telling is to ask the person who gave it to you, or the man in the shop that sold it to you. Failing that I suggest you find the packaging it came in and repack it and return it from whence it came, as you're obviously to stupid to own one.
