THIS is a perfect example of how to compose music for the PC Engine; sounds like the song was made using a much more advanced sound chip than what the PC Engine has(6-channel PSG sound chip). Compared to the original version of the song, this one's a little slower, but MUCH less... shall we say... mushy than the arcade original.

Recorded off Ootake.

  • man! that was awesome! i am a maniac at playing video games. that music was.... FANTASTIC! CONGRATULATIONS! :) I HEARD IT ABOUT 10 TIMES IN A ROW! :D

5*!!!! but, did you compose the music?

  • Sorry, man, I don't compose any music. This is from the PC Engine/TurboGrafx 16 port of Gradius, which, sadly, never made it to North America(I'll have to import a copy of the game).

  • I love how Konami did 0:11 's drum part so differently between the SCC MSX version and this version. In that version, it is almost as if the drums went into cut time for it and it was very chaotic. However in this version, Konami went with what almost sounds like blast beats. It's not chaotic, but it certainly is intense! Amazing how one song can sound completely different with just small tweaks.

  • ok anyway tha music froke me nuts :)
