As acres accumulate on John Deere single disc seeders beyond 200-300 acres per opener, wear begins to occur in the seed boot, the seed boot mounting bolt and the holes in the arm (which the seed boot bolts to).

These increases in wear cause seed boots to ride up above the seed slot and position an increased number of seeds on top of the ground (especially when seeding at higher speeds in no-till conditions), resulting in poor stands.

We have a new bushing kit which almost eliminates the play within the John Deere seed boot and help you increase your seed placement standards.
