@BelgarionKolder Not only does he make you work hard, but he also takes all of what you produce and makes profit by making you do surplus labor in order to sustain his parasitic bourgeois lifestyle.

@jiannig6 It seems you know so little about communism... A song about the difficulties of the workers and their hope to get rid of their bosses is pure communist. The struggle for communism is merely social struggle... Don't forget that the condition of the field workers in 1900 in Italy were feudal (they were liege men and not salariat workers).
This song reminds me of "Novecento", Bernardo Bertolucci's movie

what original version? there are no rice fields in italy...
-
The origin here and the partisan could be sang by the same people. The lovers of people and the workers hating the fascist
-
no the originasl song is a strike song of the women that worked in rice fields in north italy in first part of 1900, partizans used the same theme with other words during italian victorious resistance against fascists and nazis during the world war 2, this last one is now the best known

@91rafael2 no scusa l'originale è in italiano ed era cantato dagli alpini scusa ma sei un semo se te pensi che loriginale ze in inglese vai a farti fottere

The translation is pretty bad, but it is actually an uncollaborated early version of the song. However many sources say this version was made later than the partisan version

The original version is about freedom fighting, this is about the evil boss, that wants you not only get out from the bed in the morning, but also to work hard. What a bastard. *irony*
