  • @MrKippers22 it's a bit of a stretch to say that national parks are a British idea because London had public parks. What is your basis for saying such things? Yellowstone was created in 1872. Peak District National Park was established in 1951. In fact, most British Parks were hunting grounds for the elite only. And the first urban park was actually in Seville, Spain

  • National Parks are a British idea.

    Even public parks are British. Central park in New York was inspired by Birkenhead Park in England.
