Well... it is sort of a tango, it sounds more like an habanera... but still you can call it tango if you want. The indications of each piece are just a vague indication not to be taken to literally.

what are u all talking about?? he plays well, but he's no god. if u knew this piece you would realize that he plays WRONG rhythms and WRONG notes in places. so either shut it or know what youre talking about....

His Shostakovich first is indeed quite good, but I admit that his cadenza disappointed me; it seems quite expressionless, in comparison to his other wonderful solo performances (like this one).
I absolutely loved his rendition of the second concerto, however.
