In July 2008, swiss company E-Tracer Ltd. started track testing the first X-Tracer prototype built for the 2010 X-Prize. These on-board camera shots show that it is possible to use the full 52-degrees of lean angle even on a damp track, admitingly the track was still quite warm and the tires (michelin power ct2) were already up to heat. Watch closely and you'll see that sometimes the front gets loose but is instantly catched again when power is reduced to the 100kW-BRUSA electric motor.
Go to the Peraves Ecomobile and MonoTracer section of bikeweb dot com to see a still shot of this machine, and many other cabin motorcycles. Likewise, see the Peraves dot CH and Monotracer dot kom websites for much more about both the petrol and electric powered versions. Also search YouTube for "the art of Monotracering" for an excellent on-road, on-board vid of the MonoTracer in California. PNB
