I had been trying to link the 90 left into 3rd gear through the sweeper, which I finally did at 2:27, sorta. I ended up a little wider than I planned. E30, no power steering, and terrible alignment due to the fact that my 2 month old tie rod was somehow seized. If you didn't know, E30's have extremely slow steering racks - hence the insane amount of wheel movement. That and the fact that I'm not that smooth yet.

Car setup - 87 325is E30
IE Race springs - E30tech.com has a good deal on them
19lb Mustang injectors
Dinan chip
ported intake manifold
110 race fuel
no PS
no interior

  • thats my favorite track there good show love the interior btw

  • @nissandrift18 Haha thanks!

  • not to bad for your first day, i would say that you do alot of counter steering, when the car first comes out when you clutch kick or power over kind of let off the wheel and once the back is where you want it then trab the wheel and make your corrections, with smoother inputs but other than that your not doing to bad

  • Thanks!

I was actually having a problem with the steering - I can't figure it out and don't know if it's alignment-related, but the wheel has VERY poor return-to-center. I thought it was in the power steering at first, but we disconnected it and it did that same thing. It would come back though, just not until you were at an extreme angle.

    Haha what interior ;)

  • Id recommend u to change the steering wheel, I also had the same wheel and it's just a very biig wheel, if u change to a small diameter wheel u will notice the difference cause you dont have to move your hands a lot. Just my 2 cents

By the way, nice setup, almost there, I remember i was just like that till u get the hang of it.
