Peart said his two main influences were Moon and Bruford--which is interesting as heck, because Bruford hated Moon's drumming!

Kerry, Keith did not know what he was doing, but he WAS a very exciting drummer--a natural who knew what he needed to do. Ginger Baker was actually the same, but he studied drums, too. From videos I have seen, B knows drum rudiments inside and out. Not every drummer has to be schooled; Clive Thacker from Jethro Tull was terrific but couldn't tell you what he played. I think that actually was Moon on this track. Pete was critical of Keith, but Moon made the Who exciting and energetic. I'm a fan!
