Absolutely fantastic tutorial but I must point out one omission.

At the end after you have installed joomla on your server and you are prompted to delete the "installation" folder you also have to rename the file "configuration.php-dist" file to just "configuration.php".

Please vote this up to the top as it is a problem many people will be bound to encounter.

I get as far as make a directory in Filezilla and it keeps saying permission denied. Any idea why that might be?
