Dinny's story is about the importance of telling and listening to stories within your community in order to build a better understanding of the people who live in it.

Dinny created this story as part of our SharedTime Initiative. A collaborative project between the Center for Digital Storytelling and Volunteer Toronto.

Dinny Biggs has been a volunteer at CRPM for the past three years, and has a special interest in oral history projects. She also serves on CRPM's Board as Secretary. Volunteers are welcomed in all sorts of capacities at this volunteer-run local community museum.

Organization Summary: The Cabbagetown Regent Park Community Museum (CRPM) is situated in one of the oldest neighbourhoods of downtown Toronto. Its mission is to learn from our past to shape our future through the collecting, recording, and researching of documents, artifacts, and the many stories of past and current residents.
