Actually it is more of an attempt to take away the perception from these drug-dealers pimps and 'bangers that they own the streets. Funny how something as simple as a camera pointed at them makes them scurry. They sure don't act like that most of the time - it's usually nothing but shallow bravado and chest-puffing overcompensation for their pathetic lives. Turn on the camera and they turn into little girls hiding under their ill-fitting t-shirts. The city has since installed a camera on this block and most of these losers have gone back to their mommies' CHA apartments on the southside.
