@classic14rider I'll give him credit for helping me get a big christimas gift if he is successful in getting this tax cut extended. My taxes are fixing to jump to 39% from 15% if he doesn't get it extended. They are wanting to tax my dividends like regular income. I can't help it if I get my monthly income in the form of a dividend check instead of a salary. I'll let you know here pretty soon.

don't worry you speak English better than I speak portugese
-
Ahh, I got it now. ;]
Also, I'm sorry if I seemed rude, my english skills are not enough for me to express my thoughts completely.

the it being like south america and the high crime were seperate. It feels like South America because a near majority of people in Miami speak Spanish and come from S. America, C. America & Carribean. Its like S. America like where you are from is like Europe.
Unfortunately there is also high crime b/c its a big city. I was making a comparative response to what you wrote and sharing about where I am from.
I stayed in Uruguay and went to Argentina when I was younger
-
@daderone Hahaha- Dade I think I understand what you mean and I understood that you seem to like these kinds of places.
But here is the problem with your thoughts, "I'm from Miami, it feels like South America and I love it. There is high crime rate and its like living in any big city."
South America does not mean high crime rates. Like I said, where I live the crime rates are really low and most of the cities are focused on the people well-being and living instead of industry or money-making =]

It's not only the HDI that makes this part similar to europe, all our imigration here is from europe, and we have cities still speaking solely german, italian, french and spanish(this last one being more rare).
Also as you might well know, english isn't my mother language so you should consider things more lightly and not all literaly.

@ uklore I was merely trying to make you understand by comparing it to something you might know. I am not trying to "pretend" anything.
Nationalism isn't burning in our hearts at the same level that it seems to do on yours. But I still know I am part of Brazil and by no means I feel like an, as you said, "'Eternal Colonized' Nation!"
Also I did not get what you meant by" compared to Europe, you still is a part of Brazil".
-
Come on...what a lack of personality...even if your state has a higher educational level, climate and low crime rates, compared to Europe, you still is a part of Brazil, it doesn't make any sense you pretend that your state be an "Europe" inside of Brazil, just because of this!!! at least, as far as I Know, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Parana, still belong to Brazil! Please, be proud to be brazilian, and leave those thoughts of "Eternal Colonized" Nation!

I'm telling you again just cuz i feel what you're saying and didn't want you to misunderstand me.
I'm from Miami, it feels like South America and I love it. There is high crime rate and its like living in any big city. There are probably more Brazilians in the City of Miami than any other place besides Brazil. I love living in such a diverse city.
They'd probably never have the olympics here. The Cuban olympians would likely get attacked by political refugees.

I understand. I just wrote a message in general response now regarding what you wrote. Like I said, the people who I know who've gone love it and by no means did they just stay in Rio. My brother wasn't in Rio but he traveled the whole country and told me all about it. My parents went 2 visit him & loved it. He even learnt portugese & capoeira..went to help people & i have a big heart 4 that as well. I'm not ignorant about it and wasn't trying to put down Brazil. One day I'll go most likely.
Focus on the debt bitches.

After spending 2 years dissing the US all around the world, how did Obama expect to convince the world to travel to the US?
