Hello from Dave M, I was the guy who choreographed for Mater Dei all those years ago...And I am still choreographing routines for other teams...Like Greenup County! It was fun to see this routine again. I should put it on my website.
Thanks again for posting this video!

It changed because of a lack of competent coaching in cheerleading. Too many athletes were seriously injured because coaches did not understand the biomechanics of the skills. Insurance companies refused to insure the programs, so the various organizations agreed to eliminate stunts. Tumbling remains high because so many gymnastic schools are available for cheerleaders to learn correct tumbling technique.

I'm not involved in cheerleading, but I have been involved in dance and dance competitions since I was young, and have really enjoyed whatching your videos. I love the creativity, excitement, and power these squads have put into their routines. It would be great to see squads of today have the spirit these kids have.

tapper,
I am in full agreement with you. What has been a real blessing to me is that many of the girls on the squads, who are now moms, have contacted me about the videos. That has given me a chance to thank them for performing in such beautiful and creative routines.
