@vip512 There were ejection seats, but they were not Zero altitude Zero speed. So, it was impossible for him to eject, but he DID have an ejector seat.

@Dogmeat1950 No they didn't. Many just weren't zero-zero seats like today, so if you were below a certain altitude when ejecting it would either eff you up or kill you.
