Davy Jones is amazing, much more real than Avatar is, totally! I thought his face was some sort of mask, and that the tentacles was the only thing that was animated.

@viplovem The photo real CGI dinosaurs in Jurassic park was also done by the same VFX company - ILM , the fron-row pioneer in the field. But back in the time (1993), it took about 9 months to finish only 5 minutes (over 50 CGI shots in the movie; more than any movie to date back in year 1993) CGI shots. The production value and ability have been being improved year by year. ILM finished 1100 visual effects shots of Pirates of the the Carribean in about ,only 5 months.

@BonoTungTube And still you are stupid enough to be talking about CGI in terms of years...noob..Jurassic park had photo real dinosaurs...the quality was better than most movies made after it...and it was in 1993...what does it tell you?

Davy Jones looks more real than the Na'vi because his face is covered in tentacles. The more humanoid, the more fake CGI characters appear. The Na'vi are much closer to human than Jones, so they appear more fake. Not because the CGI is worse.
