  • So, after tearing down the motor, i found i had actually thrown a connecting rod, and the crankshaft is heavily scathed.. the motor is out and im trying to save up for a new crank and timing gears.. and a new clutch, my old one was pretty burned up as well... i'll get to it in the next couple months, been tinkering with a 72' Ford Maverick with a 302, my 1953 Dodge Coronet, and of course, my Mystery Machine... i'll get new vids up soon... been so busy :)

  • very nice!!! you ever think about putting a split exhaust manifold for true duals? or getting the double rochester single barrel intake manifold? Love the truck man!!! oh and a quick question, where did you get those Zelda triforce eagle emblems?

  • yeah, i really want that, i just bent a rod and seized the 6, for now... but when i rebuild it im gonna go dual exhaust, and if i can afford it, at least the dual intake...

i got the Hylian Crests from my cousin who does Vinyl Graphics... he hooks me up...

    :) \m/

  • that really sucks!!! splitting your current manifold shouldnt be too hard if you have some skill in brazing... who do you plan on getting the intake from? sweetness man, i love that crest! and it looks awesome on your truck!!

  • yeah, i was about a block away from my house last night when she seized :( im most likely going to go through Clifford Performance for my upgrades...

  • did the 12 volt conversion then?

  • absolutely, threw in a VW Bosch Coil, and changed all the bulbs, and they make the original style starter in 12V too...

  • Da-gum, Im sorry to hear that man!!! I hope she's back up on the road in no time!!!

Clifford is pretty good, a lil expensive for my taste tho lol... plus they only have the 2 and 4 single carb setup...

i dont know if you want the dual single barrel or the double/quad barrel single carb... if you want the dual single barrel this is where i get alot of my parts from.

  • Thats cool. I'm going completely OEM so I got to change my 1951 GMC 3/4TON electrical system back from 12 to 6 because some one changed.
