i guess you're referring to the story out there that the WTC 1&2 had structural defects too. Namely, galvanic corrosion from the aluminum skin bolted directly to the steel frame. Seems like that sort of thing would have been known when it was engineered but men can still make massive blunders! They say the WTC flaw was fatal and unfixable and mortality for the building was placed at 2012 or so.

What, they have to run a full page ad in the newspapers to announce a retrofit? Ever occur to anyone that work was performed at night so as not to disrupt the workforce?
Now your real conspiricy theory hype would have had substance if the building was discovered unsound and nothing was done!

"real conspiricy [sic] theory hype"? Citibank secret retrofit & 911 conspiricy? I don't see anything hear. If someone decides to retrofit the tallest building in the world, at night, with drills, laser torches and welding equipment I wouldn't blink an eye.
