  • @21CFFC 80-85 deg

  • Thank you so much for helping me out, every time i pick him up and put him in the tub he never hisses or trys to bite and he loves to swin so thanks again

  • @Bwickdevil7 your welcome and thanks for watching my videos ;)

  • when you first tryed to put hades in the tub to do that did he try and tail whip and try to bite you? and also the lizard is in a cage on the ground can that mess up like the shedding.

  • @Bwickdevil7 yes she tried wiping but not biting. I would get the lizard up off the floor and if your having a problem with shed mist the tank everyday. You can also try and bath the lizard everyday for 15 minutes to help with shed but make sure the water is about 85 degrees

  • Dude, this is brilliant. I'm a falconer, and this training technique is very similar to how we train hawks and falcons to understand that humans are not predators and enemies. I'd never thought of doing something like this with a lizard, but I think I will follow your lead and start doing it on my timor monitor! Thanks, Mate!

  • just want to say that this is also working great with my sav, great videos and advice fella, keep them up

  • That's a pretty ingenius training method! We just got a Savannah Monitor into our pet store and he's a mean son of a gun right now. Simply because he/she is young and hasn't learned any better yet. But I'll have to try that out with our manager's ok.

  • is he dead

  • @faitiana thank you!

  • My savannah really doesn't like anything touching his tail at all. Does that mean I should spend more time petting his tail?

  • This training method works great! After seeing your video I tried this with my ornate monitor and hes already warming up to me! thank you so much and keep the vids coming! :)

  • i just got a monitor 2day and she is very hissy and likes to whip how do i move him from his cage to bath tub safely??

  • i put my sav in the water and he went crazy and broke one of his nails there was blood in the water . should i stop giving him baths

  • check my sav out :)

  • That's pretty smart bro; thanks for the tips!

  • my monitor is small why hasent it growned

  • What I like to do is when I had my sav was to put your hand in the water and let him swim to you, and then you pick him up, so after a while he knows that you're someone who can help him

  • Thanks for this. I've got a baby who's now comfortable enough to start hissing an snapping every once an awhile. I've doing the traditional caressing his sides an neck. He calms down after about a minute. I'll probably wait till he's a bit bigger to try this in the tub.

  • im about to get one of these how big of a living space should i get him and what is the best food for him.

  • i give my savannah monitor baths but when I pick him up out of the water he jumps off my hand back into the water dose he just want into the water or is he trying to get away?

  • @faitiana would this type of training work for a smaller lizard perhaps a alligator lizard.. my lizard likes to bite me when i pick him up

  • thanks really helped my sav out alot

  • @thehakeber technicaly no, the tub water does have the chemicals, but hes only swimming so no big deal.

if you want you can put a water treatment to remove the chemicals.

but basicly for his drinking water you should use bottled water.
