  • Hey Mr. Resendez, I just recently heard that this etude was replaced for another one. I was wondering if you could make a youtube video for the new 2nd etude because watching this has really helped and it helps me to listen to a recording. So if you could that would be great. Thanks.

  • @scottie777444 This etude replaced the old one. The original etude was the same slow etude from 2008-9, which means that this year's seniors played it when they were freshmen. That's why it was replaced.

  • i have a question i am looking for a new ligature for my alto should i get a bg or rovner versa?

that and im using a forestone reed as well should i switch?

  • @Dejman13 I prefer the metal ligatures to leather ones. I find that the leather deadens my sound. Never tried Forestone reeds.

  • Hey Mr. Resendez, what are you using in your setup?

  • @G4oria1 Yamaha Custom EX alto sax, Vandoren Optimum AL3 mouthpiece, Vandoren V12 strength 3 reeds

  • @MusicalGenius55 He is definitley using lip man, no good sax players vibrato with their air stream. Atleast none that I have ever heard.

  • Mr.resendez, I'm a sax player in high school, and I love playing vibrato, but I was curious if you did your vibrato with your lip vibrating or do you use your air? Or is it something totally different than that?

  • @dallassax Hey man, have long have you been playing sax? Good job on the etude by the way.

  • @Tenorsaxophonepwns I have had success with Legere in the past, particularly on bari sax. If you can find a good Legere, hang on to it!!!!!

  • what do you use to trill from Bb to C

  • @xXxjapanesefreakxXx the duck noise you make with just your mouthpiece try hitting certain pitches..I'm not a sax player, but my friend who is says he does this and he has amazing tone...Just saying

  • this etude sounds better on the alto than tenor why must it be so diffrent

  • I'm so jealous of the sax slow etude. It's pretty. :( The clarinet one isn't nearly as nice.
