The Nokia N8 is Nokia's flagship phone and it's sold unlocked in the US. It has 3G on both T-Mobile and AT&T as well as overseas. The phone has a 12 megapixel camera, a 3.5" capacitive multi-touch AMOLED display, widgets, Flash Lite, WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0 and built-in GPS with Ovi Maps and Navigation.

  • I know this been ask a billion times but I can't find a definite answer. I want this phone for the amazing 12MP camera. I have a Tmobile dumbphone, RIZR, and I just want this phone for the camera and use wifi. Does the Nokia N8 need a data plan? Thanks.

  • @ReverseCycoIogy If you don't use data via cellular, then no you don't have to get a data plan to use the phone and camera.

This is not a fight, just a silly discussion

I have used the Nokia N9 but I didn't like the fact that it's too thick and it still uses that old age slide keyboard. Galaxy S2 is more powerful than the Nokia N9 because it has better hardware, not because it's from Samsung. I have not had problems using Swype. I'm running an ICS ROM on my Galaxy S2 and it works just as good as gingerbread or even better, I have not tried MeeGo yet but I assume it should work just as good.

  • @0xNEVVG3N | Can you use swipe interface with a 4.27" screen and with a thickness of 8.5 mm? It'll surely slip out of your hand. Of course S II has more power as for the reason it has 1.2GHz dual-core processor. You may say that S II is faster and is much better at multitasking, probably you've not had the experience using the N9 just yet. Can your S II use both MeeGo and ICS 4.0? I don't think so. I'm not gonna go fighting over here. So, I'll just shut my ass up. People have rights to choose :)

  • @Rockeymaru

Nokia N9 is too thick and large, my Samsung GS2 is half the thickness of the Nokia N9 and with more power, and no, Android does not require Dual Core, it can run smoothly on singe core, dual core provides more processing power which means less time opening applications, faster processing and is much better at multitasking especially when opening multiple applications together, would you go back to single core desktops? NO. My Samsung SG2 lasts 2 days with moderate use.

  • @0xNEVVG3N | Yeah, the best when it comes to draining battery, when it comes to making smartphones with dual-core processors which is kinda ridiculous for a smartphone. Why do they need dual-core processors? Because they run Android. Try Nokia N9. It beats the shit out of your Samsung.

  • cant wait for nokia 808!!
