@formaset As a middle-class carioca girl, I'd cut your finger off for wearing something as tacky as a diamond ring in any beach city, since the sea breeze damages most metals over time. Also, I don't see anyone sporting watches or fancy snickers in downtown São Paulo either - or in any other metropolis, for the matter.
