What software did you use to record clips from the game?

I'm just curious because I've been thinking about recording some gameplay videos of various games. I've done some videos of one game, but I'm not entirely satisfied with the software I was using (I no longer even have the software because I had to reinstall Windows some time ago).

It seems like some programs don't work properly, possibly because I'm using Windows 7.
