How does the catheter feel?
sensboy1 5 months ago
@sensboy1 Most of the time I didn't notice the catheter. You get used to it pretty fast. I'm not sure how it is for women, but for men, if your penis gets even a little bit hard, like when sleeping, then it's EXTREMELY annoying, but not painful.
When the catheter is removed it hurts slightly. You can feel that tube being pulled out, and the mental image of that piece of plastic inside you now coming out of a sensitive area is what makes the feeling worse.

I have been thru alot of the same things as you. I have Crohn's Disease. I go in on the 20th of July to take down my 3rd ileostomy. I also have a J-Pouch. Would you be willing to chat via email? I don't know many ppl that have the same kind of things going on as I do. Not my age or anywhere close to it anyhow. It would be fantastic to talk to you. Please let me know. :)
