The introduction of television cameras into the House of Commons in 1989 was a controversial move that many MPs opposed.
And nothing has happened in the 20 years since to convince Roger Gale that he was wrong oppose to putting himself and his colleagues on television.
Speaking to BBC Parliament's Aishlinn O'Connor, the Conservative MP and former television producer says that broadcast coverage of the Commons only allows the public to see a limited snap-shot of the work that MPs carry out.
But not everyone has been disappointed.
Labour MP Frank Dobson and the former BBC Chief Political Correspondent Brian Curtois tell the Record Review's Keith Macdougall how they were involved in the first broadcasts, and why they think it has been a success.
This was broadcast in November 2009
henno - dont embarass yourself fail to see the link between a discussion on the televising of the commons and deciding to get a job - or are you just going for a weak funny line....hmm.
Brian Curtois in particular was a well respected BBC journalist for c.30 years who was a big advocate of allowing the public ie everyone to see, if they wished, pictures of westminster. and now we have election debates.

@Leolmlr I've never uploaded any, I get too much pleasure from watching other peoples uploads, mainly when they upload something illegal, like movies or TV shows which are ridiculously priced both online and in shops.
And no, I'm not unemployed either.

Congratulations on uploading the most boring video in Youtube's history.
After watching these clueless cunts farting from their upper class mouths, I am begining to realise why so many people say "Fuck it, I'm staying on the dole"
Seriously.
