if you can see here in this ad, DATSUN changed the 200sx body-style 4 years before the 280 ZX, the 200sx was cheaper than the ZX and was competing against the TOYOTA CELICA, as you can see here later on 1982 TOYOTA changed the CELICAS to a near body-style of the CELICAS, until 1986 when the 200sx ceased operations and CELICAS reborn again in a retro-style 'till 1994 another body-style and the 200sx was reborn again as a little sentra but it did not last too long, it died in1998, that's the story
