And when one sees past such inclinations,THEN they can hear the sages as well as understand them.Yes, understand them rather than just dismiss thier authority because thier hearts cause them to react emmotionally BEFORE they fully understand.NO SHORT CUTS. This brand of information and study takes time to grasp, time to grow within it. Judaism is about knowing not believing. Knowledge not Faith.   • @gwolf77 Both FEELINGS & LOGIC are nothing compaired to the LAW. And no, Im not talking about blind faith either. Im talking about people who allow emmotions be the measuring stick for actions and decisions. This is folly. And emmotions, feelings (some call spirit foolishly) are no way to demonstrate discernment. But it goes on constantly. Whether its loving compassion or murdering hatefullness NEITHER is to be deemed as Gods will. The Law trumps human inclinations towards emmotional(contabove)

    This is what I imagine R'Levi Yitzchak of Berdichev to have been like, always finding the good in every Jew. What a joy to see a modern emulation of him in the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
