I remember when Zubin Mehtah's dad conducted this orchestra. How phenomenal it has become. This young violinist is truly amazing! Michael Rabin set the standards for this concerto & this young man comes very close in matching them. I am impressed with his mature phrasings, intonation, trills, bowing, vibrato, etc. This young man's got it all. AMAZING!!! I am listing this video on my favorites page.
I also love his stage presence. His demeanor is noble. Only fault is the sound quality.

Amazing!! This concerto, as typical of Polish violin concerti, is one of the most difficult in the repertoire. It is wonderful to see such a yooung player perform with such excellent command and drama!! Wieniawski had a field day composing this concerto, which is a brilliant showpiece of violinistic virtuosity. It covers practically the entire range of technical skills a violinist needs. If you can play this you can probably play any concerto or showpiece in the repertoire.
