Sai cant "die again" because he was already dead. His dream of playing Go was fulfilled with Shuusaku, even though he couldn't play the divine move. Its a sad reminder that not all goals are attained but the most important things in life are the simple things. I cried too in the same part. But its bittersweet because Sai gave his fan to Hikaru, fulfiling his destiny to pass on his Go , and moving on to heaven instead of being stuck on earth. So you shouldn't cry if you think about it that way :)
