Praise icewind! Man, if you read this, congratulations again because 1.50 made the game even MORE awesome! Good job! Still proving Diadra Empty was the doujin game of 2008 and, so far, 2009.

Sadly, EX4 pushed my comp to the limits and EX5 exceeded it. Slowdown ensues and the bgm, which is usually synched to the stage, finishes 30 seconds before. Argh. I'll see if I can get a replay on the PLUS version later. This wasn't easy at all, the amount of stuff gets insane.

As if fighting all the bosses at once plus an insane amount of enemies in EX4 wasn't enough, here you have the final battle where you fight the crystal core inside the dark dragon but with the dark dragon as well, both final bosses at the same time. But it doesn't end there: you are attacked constantly by everything and everyone, from all directions pretty much nonstop. Eventually, two powered up versions of the two 'guardians' of the hooded spirit of Chapter 8 will show up to keep pummelling you while the crystal does its patterns, which are even deadlier.

So this stops being an "Extra Stage", this is a whole full Extra Campaign that trashes pretty much everything and puts a whole new meaning to "over the top". I need to upgrade my video card soon... And I have to admit 50% of the time I had no freaking idea of what was coming pretty much because everything and everyone was coming, let it be lasers, bullets, enemies, mini-bosses, the gigantastic boss (it's the background dragon+crystal that takes three screens), etc.

On top of this, you need to score over 400.000.000 million if you want to unlock the stage. Easier said than done.

@Manakaiser I used the ghost flame/dragon-v weapons with the lideswall options in guardian formation. By the way, regarding your comment on my profile, you might wanna check Doujinstyle for more STG news and stuff. And about more shooters as over the top as this, the vertical equivalent is Crimzon Clover. Look for that, it's incredibly awesome.

Yeah, unfortunately they indicate the game is not available (you can still try to mail them for it, you never know) so your last bet if you can deal with international prices is White-Canvas. They take orders outside of Japan. For the patches, visit the official site linked in the description. Follow these words: ディアドラエンプティ完成版向けパッチ1.52PLUS. That is the indication of the latest patch and usually the entry that icewind updates whenever a patch comes out.

I managed to get the game but I'm having problems patching it. I think I followed the instructions correctly since I put the password that's printed on the CD's label, but for some reason it doesn't work... I'm surely doing something wrong but I don't get what it is. The password is the one made of 5 characters, right?

I'm not sure what to say. It took me about an hour's worth of practice to get to the Final Crystal in Natural Mode. Full Equip and everything on. All 3 of my lives were spent on the Crystal alone. Hell, I even had to continue once. But I cleared it. On Natural mode. Any tips you can give to newbies like me who's struggling just to survive?

do you happen to know how to unlock dragonscale V ?
